Terms and Conditions of Product Warranty –
Introduction
Parnell LP Gas Systems equipment is sold with expectation that the product is to be free of defects in material and workmanship, in the event of a faulty product being supplied the following Terms and Conditions shall apply.
Parnell LP Gas Systems will repair or at our option replace free of charge any component supplied directly by Parnell LP Gas Systems , if the returned product falls within the following specified warranty periods:
• New Vehicle Warranty: 3 year/100,000 klm warranty (whichever comes first) on all Parnell EFI complete kits, Parnell EFI under bonnet and factory endorsed kits.
• Used Vehicle Warranty: 2 year/50,000 klm warranty (whichever comes first) on all Parnell EFI complete kits, Parnell EFI under bonnet or factory endorsed kits.
• On all carburetor kits , components and accessories sold by Parnell LP Gas Systems a 1 year / 30,000 klm warranty (whichever comes first) will apply.
• Reconditioned components including converters will be warranted for 3 months.
The reference date for the commencement of warranty will be the date of invoice. Parnell LP Gas Systems reserves the right to ascertain as to whether the fault has been caused by faulty workmanship, or has contributed to any part of the fault. Should a component fail within the warranty period, the replacement component shall be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
Items for which we will not accept warranty charges
The following items are not covered under Parnell LP Gas Systems Terms & Conditions of Warranty:
• Time taken for fault diagnosis or trouble shooting. Parnell LP Gas Systems operate a highly professionally trained Technical Department that will assist in fault diagnosis and trouble shooting.
• Defects or damage caused by accident, alteration, incorrect installation, abuse, neglect, misuse and acts of God.
• Rectification of unauthorised repairs.
• Replacement of standard serviceable items and components such as filters, spark plugs, leads etc.
• Defects attributable to irregularities or contaminants in LPG fuel
• Freight costs involved in returning defective parts.
• Consequential damages or losses which may occur as a result of failure of the product.
• Repairing or replacing product or accessories that have not been supplied by Parnell LP Gas Systems.
• Replenishment of fuel LPG or petrol after performing any service or warranty work.
• Any component that has physical damage, or any component that has been dismantled or returned incomplete
• Defects caused by lack of regular service. Regular service means that the vehicle will have followed the following recommended service schedule:
PARNELL LPGAS SYSTEMS RECOMMENDED SERVICING SCHEDULE - EVERY 100,000KM
At1,500km Check all service line connections.
Check filler valve.
Check LPG cylinder connections.
At 20,000km All of above plus;
Change spark plugs (NGK brand recommended)
Check ignition leads (if applicable)
Drain first and second stage convertor bodies.
VSI system to have both filters changed
At 40,000km As per 20,000km service (excluding VSI filter).
At 60,000km As per 20,000km service plus;
Dismantle convertor and clean.
Replace 2nd stage and sensitivity diaphragm.
Change all LPG including VSI filter.
At 80,000km As per 20,000km service (excluding VSI filter)
At 100,000km As per 20,000km service
All repairs and servicing must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of AS1425. Parnell LP Gas Systems insists on the Ignition system of the vehicle being adequately serviced on a regular basis, meaning the plugs should be changed over every 20,000 kilometers. The correct spark plug application can be received from our Technical Department. For more detailed information relating to the LPG system service refer to the Parnell Dual Fuel conversion owner's manual supplement/instruction handbook.
Nothing in our Warranty shall be construed as affecting any rights that you may have under the Trade Practices Act or any other State or Federal legislation which gives you rights which cannot be modified or excluded by our warranty terms and conditions.
Making a Claim
To be eligible for any warranty claim the following procedure must be followed:
• A call must be put through to our Warranty Department.
• In order to place a warranty claim a Parnell authorisation warranty claim number must be quoted on any correspondence relating to the claim. This number will only be provided by one of the two people mentioned above.
• Any componentry that is being sent back to Parnell LP Gas Systems under warranty must comply to the following requirements:

• The returned product must be freight prepaid.
• The product will be clearly tagged defining the perceived fault.
• The tag will also clearly state the Invoice Number and date on which it was originally purchased.
• The tag will give a reference or contact name.
PARTS RECEIVED NOT COMPLYING WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE POINTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR WARRANTY.
• Replacement parts will be invoiced out to the customer. Upon receipt of the faulty part it will be tested and inspected and if the part/s represents a genuine warranty claim a credit will be raised against the replacement part invoice. When the inspection has proved to be as a result of factors other than faulty workmanship or material the invoiced raised for the replacement part will stand and be payable under your normal trading conditions.
• Goods returned to Parnell LP Gas Systems for credit within 14 calendar days from date of invoice will not attract a restocking fee. Goods returned to Parnell LP Gas Systems after 15 calendar days from date of invoice will attract a re-stocking fee equivalent to 10% of the purchase price of the goods.
• When returning parts to Parnell LP Gas Systems the goods must be suitably packaged to ensure that the goods are not damaged in any way in transit. Parnell LP Gas Systems will not accept goods returned for credit that are damaged in transit as a result of poor packaging.
